iPolity for Groups

1. Start a Group Homepage

Check to see if the desired name is already taken by typing the name you desire after the "http://ipolity.com/" in the address bar. If you have multiple words use a "+" symbol between them. For example, if you wanted the Page title to be "New Page" you would type "http://ipolity.com/New+Page"

2. Establish a Navigation Bar

Many groups create a 600 pixel wide banner to serve as a link to their homepage. The banner and links below it illustrate what we mean. Below the banner you can place a set of links to their most important pages to help your visitors navigate through group content. You may review and copy the source of the iPolity Nav Bar page to help you.

3. Tag Your Content

Tags establish links to all your content and create a directory for it. You can see an example of this by clicking the "Index" link above in the iPolity nav bar.

Next Steps

Public event and project coordination opens group activity to new ideas and different points of view. It allows people who might not otherwise ever attend your meetings or events to become interested in what you are about by your conduct and work.

The success of iPolity depends on the success of groups at iPolity, so we work very hard to drive visitation to the site. Your activity here makes the place interesting, so you are also very welcome to submit articles for publication here, to create blogs, to share pictures of your events, and to use the Wiki tool to collaborate.
